Steve Bartrick Antique Prints & Maps Ordering, Terms and Conditions (antiqueprints.com is a trading name of Steve Bartrick T/A Antique Prints & Maps.)

How to order -

1. To order only items in the new database catalogue -

use the inbuilt shopping cart. This takes care of any discounts and postage charges and allows payment to be made using Credit Card, Debit Card (within the UK), PayPal, or a deferred 'Email/Phone/Fax' option allowing a cheque to be sent or card details supplied by an alternative means such as phone or fax. (I suggest any regular customers or volume buyers use this option to allow me to provide an individual quote, alternatively you can email me to order or for a quote in the normal way.) The shopping cart uses a UK company called Protx to process Card payments.

2. To order items from both the new database catalogue and the old catalogue pages -

follow my normal 'old' method of ordering - contact me to discuss payment, discount and postage -

I can accept payment by credit/debit card (Mastercard, Visa, AMEX, JCB), UK pound cheques, Eurocheques, or Switch / Solo debit card (within the UK). Credit card details can be sent via ordinary post or telephone, alternatively they can be submitted via my Secure Server.

( The Secure Server I use is hosted by Securehosting.com, a UK company who maintain the very highest standards of security, at no time is information supplied via their system compromised. )

For orders from outside the UK my preferred method of payment is Mastercard or Visa as these are the least costly to process, and also provide a good level of protection for both buyer and seller. I charge in GBPounds, which will then be converted to your local currency on your credit card statement.

I also accept payment through PayPal (no surcharge)

Orders are usually sent within two days of confirmation of order.

Discounts - Orders for more than one item will be discounted by at least 5 percent. Depending on the actual items and quantity ordered cost the discount can be larger, ranging from 5 percent to 20+ percent for an order of many items.

The discounts built into the shopping cart are - 5 percent for 2 items, 10 percent for 3 - 6 items, 15 percent for 7 - 12 items, 20 percent for 13 or more items. These discounts will show as items are added to the cart.

VAT (EU sales tax) - please note VAT is payable ONLY by Customers in the UK or EU and ONLY on Prints. Maps are ZERO RATED for UK VAT. Therefore sales of prints will be subject to the additional VAT charge, this will apply to sales within the UK and European Union only. Export sales going outside the EU are exempt.

Postage and packing - all orders are normally sent within two days of receipt. Most smaller value items are sent via normal post (air-mail if abroad), for larger value orders some sort of tracked post is best. All my maps and prints are loose, smaller items are sent in a stiffened flat packet and larger items are sent in very strong plastic tubes, having been rolled carefully. Delivery within the UK is normally next day, outside the UK times mostly vary between 3 and 12 days, depending on location and efficiency of the postal services.

Orders under GBP 35 - Within the UK - GBP 1.50, non-UK - GBP 2.50.

Orders over GBP 35 - post-free to anywhere.

High value single orders - can be sent by insured post, a GBP 5 contribution to cost may be required, depending on value and discount given.

Guarantee and returns - All my maps and prints are authentic and guaranteed to have been published around the time stated.
A certificate of authenticity will be provided with all orders.
Any item may be returned (in the condition purchased) within 7 days of receipt for any reason and a full refund provided (not including return postage.)

Insurance - All my antique maps and prints are insured. In the very rare event of non-delivery or damage the problem should be reported to your local Post Office and to myself. For a damage in transit claim to be made all the packaging must be retained.
